Another win! Starts the month countdown at 1-0

And for you doubters, Johnston got on the score sheet!

Was actually concerned about the game last night. Blackhawks aren’t exactly a powerhouse but thought it may be a let down game after the last three against stronger opponents. They superseded even after losing cizikas, killing off the five min major without one of their best PK’ers, and finishing out the game and winning down a center for 98% of the game. Pretty impressive.

Does cizikas get suspended a game or two? I see it as a possibility. If so who do they call up? Easy answer is probably Koivula to center the 4th line. Do they move someone else into that spot and call up Raty?

Would they bring Andreoff to center 4th line? He has the hot hands right now.

Who knows? If it were trotz as our coach I would say Koivula. That seemed to be his go too for exactly this situation. Who knows if Lambert will go in the same direction? Hopefully cizikas isn’t suspended and we don’t find out.

Edit; I’ll also add Lameriello said there would be more of a push to develop youth this season then seasons past. I don’t really see calling Andreoff up as following that plan…

Koivula seems like the likely call-up, although looking through Twitter it looks like he didn't play yesterday morning with Bridgeport. Not sure if that's a day off, injury, healthy scratch, or what...but it's interesting.

I'd assume Andreoff would get the call after him and I guess there's a way-outside chance they give Raty a taste if they like what they've seen so far.

Wouldn't be surprised they call up Bardreau, he's played well the few times up, and a 4th line center is all his game.

I agree that it's a possibility, but I sure hope not. I don't remember him being a repeat offender, nor does he have a reputation as a dirty player, so I'm thinking a fine should be the worst he faces. Not to rehash last night's discussion, but the goalie was clearly out of his crease. I understand that doesn't eliminate Casey's responsibility to try to avoid contact with the goalie, and a 5-minute major was warranted. But beyond that, a suspension seems patently unfair. It really looked to me like the goalie was moving a little into Casey's skating lane at the time of the collision.

I really don’t see how he gets a suspension but maybe I’m just biased. He def could have gotten out of the way, but the goalie was absolutely out of the crease. Does Casey have any prior suspensions? That might be a factor

It's time to move on from that guy. He makes Dal Colle look like a speed skater

Sorry, but your Islanders play the most boring style of hockey in the NHL. While my hawks are rebuilding and are hoping to be in the Bedard sweepstakes, my gut feeling is that the Hawks will win another cup before the Islanders.

Yeah he clearly sucks but he was the usual call up in this situation that’s why he was mentioned…

They'll almost certainly cover up another rape before the Islanders do, so you've got that going for you

By this chart, we can see that #Isles are:

- Tied for 1st in East for 3+ goal wins (4.... 8 pts on x-axis)

- Tied for 2nd in East for 2+ goal wins (5), behind BOS

- Tied with BOS for 2nd in East (behind NJD) for regulation wins (6)

Not too many better options. If the league does actually suspend Cizikas for a game or two, which would be (frank)ing absurd, I'm all for giving Raty a shot. Just don't think that'll happen.

Belief at this point is that Casey Cizikas will likely avoid a suspension. Fine, maybe, but probably won't miss any games.

I mean anybody who watched the game last night will tell you the Islanders were holding back the high-powered Blackhawks. How else do you stop such talent as Athanasiou Richardinson & Entwistle
